The regular season of Saskatchewan’s League of Legends eSports circuit (SKLeague) has come to a close, and the top six teams will soon battle it out in playoffs.

SKLeague’s post season begins Nov. 3, and will culminate during a live event in Regina at the Matrix Gaming Centre on Nov. 7 and 8.

Two undefeated teams currently sit atop SKLeague’s standings. Vicious and Delicious recored six wins, no losses and one tie, while Notice Me Senpaiii recorded four wins, zero losses and three ties. Thunder Ducks came in third with four wins, one loss and two ties.

The top six teams that will compete in the playoffs are as follows (Full stats here):

  1. Vicious and Delicious
  2. Notice Me Senpaiii
  3. Thunder Ducks
  4. Fellowship of the Nerds
  5. Indecision
  6. Landbeforetime

Each team played a best of two series every week during the regular season. Because they finished in the top two, Vicious and Delcious and Notice Me Senpaiii will receive a bye in the semifinals, while the rest of the top six will compete in the quarter finals.

The quarter final matches will take place online on Nov. 3 and 4 and will be broadcast via Twitch. The semi finals and grand finals will be held during a live event at Matrix on Nov. 7 and 8, and spectators are welcome to come out and watch.

Semi finals start at 12:00 p.m. on Nov. 7, and grand finals will start at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 8. The team that wins will take home more than $1,000 in prizes and an SKLeague Champions trophy.

During the league’s debut season, 33 teams and 231 players competed. SKLeague said in a press release that plans are already under way for a second and third season in 2016.

SKLeague has yet to post broadcast times for the quarter final playoff matches, which will be streamed on its Twitch channel.

Check SKLeague’s website and its Facebook page for more updates.

Update: SKLeague has updated its playoff schedule so that quarter finals begin on Nov. 3, not Oct. 27 as this article originally stated.
