Season one of SKLeague, a new competitive eSports circuit that centers around the free-to-play game League of Legends, kicks off Monday night.
Qualifiers for the season wrapped up on Sept 4, and the regular season will get underway on Monday at 7 p.m. (Sask. time) with team Dignitoast vs. team Thunder Ducks in a best-of-two series.
The regular season will run Monday to Thursday nights up until Oct. 22. Playoffs will then start on Oct. 26, and culminate in a live event in Regina at the Matrix Gaming Centre for the semifinals and finals. That happens on Nov. 7 and 8.
There were initially 33 teams that participated in the qualifying tournament for the regular season, which have now been whittled down to eight teams.
You can watch each game live on SKLeague’s Twitch channel, and also watch a recording of the matches on its YouTube channel in case you miss them.
